Dr. Yezi Chen

With a heart for reaching others through the art of music, Dr. Chen is a dedicated musician, concert artist, and teacher. Having studied the piano for well over two-thirds of her life, she continues to cultivate the passion that he received from her teachers and endeavors to communicate the vibrancy of music to her audiences and students.

Teaching Philosophy

I believe piano education goes beyond technique—it's about helping each student discover their unique musical voice. My teaching focuses on nurturing individuality and guiding students to express themselves through music. Whether working with beginners or advanced students, I create a supportive environment where they can develop their talents and foster a love for piano.​ With a rich background in both performance and pedagogy, I blend conservatory-style methods with fresh approaches that inspire musical growth. Piano study is challenging, but immensely rewarding, and my goal is to make every lesson both joyful and inspiring.​ By carrying forward the traditions passed down to me by remarkable pianists and mentors, I remain dedicated to meeting the individual needs of each student. I am committed to sharing the beauty and excitement of piano with anyone eager to explore this magical world of music.
